CCRM Nordic is a newly established national infrastructure for commercialization of advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs). CCRM Nordic is a not-for-profit company based in GoCo Health Innovation City, Mölndal that aims to build process development and GMP ATMP manufacturing capabilities during the coming years. CCRM Nordic vision is to benefit patients by enabling commercialization of advanced therapies.

Sales and Business Development Manager

Location: Flexible/Remote (must be willing to travel periodically to our Gothenburg HQ and to client/partner sites, primarily within the Nordics/Europe)

About the role

As a Sales and Business Development Manager, you will be the driving force behind CCRM Nordic’s growth in the Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMP) space. You will not only drive partnership and sales pipelines but also identify investment opportunities to accelerate strategic projects. Working closely with other (mainly technical) teams, you will translate market intelligence into proposals and contracts that position CCRM Nordic as the ATMP partner of choice across our specialized service offering.

Key responsibilities

1. Strategic Prospecting & Market Mapping

  • Conduct market research to map ATMP players (academic, biotech, CDMO, consortium) and prioritize high-value targets.
  • Build and maintain a rich pipeline via events, digital outreach and personal networks.

 

2. Full-Cycle Business Development

  • Qualify and pursue prospects, managing outreach, discovery, proposal, negotiation and contracting.
  • Identify optimal engagement models (fee-for-service, grants, investment) and flexible business solutions.
  • Act as primary client liaison and ensure satisfaction through seamless transfer to project teams.
  • Maintain CRM, deliver pipeline reports and forecasts for data-driven decision making.

 

3.Proposal Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with technical and regulatory colleagues to craft scientifically rigorous and commercially compelling proposals.
  • Lead budgeting, pricing and internal review cycles to meet both client needs and margin targets.
  • Oversee version control, sign-off and on-time delivery of all proposal documents.

 

4. Relationship Management & Thought Leadership

  • Cultivate long-term relationships with researchers, program leads, C-suite and other procurement stakeholders.
  • Identify marketing opportunities and represent CCRM Nordic at conferences, workshops and webinars.

 

5. Continuous Improvement & Market Intelligence

  • Gather competitive intelligence and customer feedback to refine our value proposition.
  • Recommend enhancements to services, processes and pricing based on evolving market trends.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Business Administration or related.
  • Domain Expertise: Required deep understanding of the ATMP value chain and therapeutic development.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in business development or sales within biotech, CDMO or life-science services, with significant ATMP focus.
  • Technical Acumen: General understanding of technology platforms, process development, manufacturing modalities and regulatory pathways.
  • Commercial Skills: Proven track record of closing contracts and structuring collaborations.
